This term Year 5 pupils were learning about tints and shades and last project of this Unit was to make a cardboard sculpture of a cow with patterns of colours.

These were the steps we followed:

  • First, we used a template to get the basic shapes
  • Then, we traced the template shapes onto card and cut them out
  • Then, we coloured the shapes and added nice patterns
  • Finally, we put the pieces together and had a Cow Parade in class

Have a look at our creations.

CowParade is an international public art exhibit that has been featured in major world cities. Sculptures of cows are decorated by local artists, and distributed over the city centre, in public places such as train stations, important avenues, and parks. They often feature artwork and designs specific to local culture, as well as city life and other relevant themes.
